Shy – Esther’s heard that a lot. Rescued from a life ties to a tree in North Carolina, Esther is another one of Conrad’s and Leopold’s little secrets. You see, if you take Esther on a sleepover – maybe two – she begins to bloom, like a flower. Suddenly this shy, retiring dog is cuddly. Soft. Affectionate. Kissy. All it takes is a little time and some kindness, and she’ll open right up and roll over for some belly rubs. She’s so ready for a home with the right person – someone who will make her feel safe and loved!
Is that you? Could you sponsor or adopt Esther?

Good luck, Esther. Hopefully someone sees this and asks to take you home. It is so true that you blossum on sleepovers. You are such fun to walk, too, with your waving tail and determination to stay in front of your run mates. Shy, sweet, and loyal — you were so well behaved when you stayed with us. If I didn’t have a couple of long trips coming up, I would be thinking of adopting you. If someone wants a loyal dog who doesn’t bark and has good indoor manners, you are certainly for them.
She looks so much like her mama Ruth!
Yeah, she’s like a mini-Ruth.
